The 2-20 & 2-21 Malt Drive Housing Lotteries are closed

Thank you for your interest in the affordable housing programs for 2-20 & 2-21 Malt Drive. The lotteries are now closed. Please see below for more information on next steps and what to expect.

Prepare

Applicant outreach and eligibility determination is done in log number order. These numbers are generated randomly by the system, meaning the date you applied does not determine your place in the log. Here are some steps you can take to be prepared:

  • Check your current lease: Carefully check what your current lease says about moving before the lease is over. If you’re offered an apartment, you may need to move quickly.
  • Collect and copy supporting documents: If your log number comes up and your application appears to qualify, you will be invited to make an appointment to confirm your eligibility. The appointment is to review the documents that support the information on your application. This may include birth certificates, photo IDs, pay stubs, tax returns, and more.
  • For detailed information on what documents you may need and how to prepare them, click here: NYC Housing Connect Checklists & Resources Guide

Wait to be contacted

It can take anywhere from 2 to 10 months to hear back about your application. Sometimes you might not hear back even if you qualify, simply due to how far down the lottery log you are and the number of available apartments.

What if I never hear back? Due to the volume of applicants, you may not hear back if your log number is not reached for processing.
